Brittany and Kyle's Wedding

Brittany and Kyle's wedding was such a good experience. They were the best couple to work for. They let me do my job and were open to all the possibilities.

The rings in front of Brittany's beautiful bouquet.

The light hit her dress at the perfect time! It was really beautiful.

I thought this was so much fun! I had to do some retouching...there were street lights and wires hanging around their heads. The photograph looks much better without it!

What a timeless photograph.

This is at my favorite tree on Purdue Campus.

Look at all those good looking guys! I love this photograph because it is casual and relaxed.

I love this candid photograph of Brittany and Kyle with the theatre lights. They had their reception at the old downtown theatre in Lafayette. It was so much fun to do photographs under the boldly lit marquee.

Mr and Mrs Murphy's silhouette in front of their reception location. I love this photograph. I added vingetting (like in many of the other photographs) to give it a classic, vintage feel. I think it really does something for this photo!

The Grandma I Never Knew

My grandmother died when I was a baby. I know very little about her. The only things I do know are the things my mother and father have told me. I only have a few things, these things, to learn about who she was. I don’t know why I have such an infatuation with learning who she was. I suppose it is because I’ve never really been close to any of my grandparents. I like to think she is one of those grandmas. The kind that absolutely loves her grandchildren and they absolutely loved her. The kind, that as a child, you never want to leave her house. More and more I am discovering knew things about her and what she was like. I now know she loved to sew, she liked to cook, she was saving up for a trip to Hawaii, she was beautiful, I have her smile, and according to my father I would have loved her. From what I can tell, he is probably right.

Her silverware my grandpa gave me. This is the only thing I have that was hers.

some old thread spindels that my mother had.

a tin she would keep her sewing materials in.

a dried flower I found in one of her old tins

scissors and another sewing tool

buttons. i used to love to look through her buttons that were given to my mother. my favorite was the flower one which has a little jewel in the middle

old envelopes she used to keep buttons in. they are addressed to her landlord.
