Well, I’m still here and not at the hospital. The stripping the membranes thing didn’t work AGAIN. Oh well. I am still having good contractions. I hope they end up leading to something. Today I’ve been cleaning the house really good. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve done this in the last two weeks. It really doesn’t need much else, but I guess there is always something that can be done. I’ve been trying to find ways to keep myself busy. It is hard because I don’t want to start anything that I can’t just drop at a moment's notice. I’ve been scrapbooking a lot. Maybe if I haven’t had this baby by tomorrow I’ll post some of the pages.
OH. This morning I actually did loose my mucus plug. If you’ve been keeping up with my post, you’ll know that I thought I lost it about two weeks ago. Well, I don’t know what I “saw” but I know now that it was not my mucus plug. Remember I was half asleep and didn’t have contacts or glasses on so I didn't really get a good look at it before it disappeared. So I guess that is good news. I know that doesn’t always mean anything but it is one of the pre labor signs.
I wrote out my Loves and Hates of Pregnancy a couple of weeks ago for a scrapbooking page. It think now is a good time to post them:
What I Love:
1) Having the best skin I’ve ever had.
2) Getting to decorate the baby’s room.
3) Knowing that there is a baby growing in me...that is absolutely amazing. It really is a miracle!
4) Feeling the baby move around.
5) I just love baby things!
6) Thinking about how the little person in my belly is going to grow up.
7) Getting to take it easy and not feeling guilty about it.
8) I, surprisingly, am more easy-going.
9) Knowing I’m going to be a mommy.
10) I get to make accuses for certain things like cravings. I just say “But the baby wants chocolate cake” and I get to have chocolate cake.
11) The attention and how pregnancy and babies are an automatic conversation starter.
12) The ultrasound!
What I Hate:
1) Waiting. I can not to meet my baby.
2) Maternity clothes...I know many people like them but I do not!
3) It consumes every part of your life, no matter what.
4) Waiting.
5) Waiting
6) Have a mentioned the waiting part, yet?
